Outcome Metric: ~4,000 payment terminals

Turning POS software into a new SaaS payments business.
The Business Situation
A POS card-terminal software provider wanted to expand beyond its existing software model and introduce a semi-integrated SaaS payment solution. That required connecting POS applications to payment terminals across multiple communication methods while operating in an environment where transaction availability and operational reliability directly affected merchants.
The Intervention
Punditry helped design and implement the payment platform around multi-protocol terminal connectivity, high transaction availability, strong operational isolation, minimal routine intervention, flexible deployment, cost-efficient cloud infrastructure, and a platform model supporting growth without proportional operational effort. Rather than building infrastructure that required constant attention, the objective was to make the platform deliberately uneventful to operate.
The Result
The resulting SaaS platform connects approximately 4,000 payment terminals across multiple connection protocols. It was engineered for extremely high availability, requires very little regular maintenance, gave the client deployment flexibility, and was delivered at approximately 1/20th of the compared alternative cost. It allowed the client to diversify its product portfolio and create a new SaaS payments offering.
WHAT THIS DEMONSTRATES
“Punditry delivered our semi-integrated SaaS payment platform at a fraction of the cost while ensuring 4,000+ terminals stay connected reliably 24/7.”
